My proposed mods

A bit like kfiend's

white body, cf splitter in black but Msport front, cf spoiler, black f14's (maybe changed to forged 1 7's afterwards), whitelines, KW V3 (deposit in), pbx (not installed yet), change all the roundels to carbon.

optional: hamman exhaust

any advice?

on a serios note, pros vs cons of paint and vinyl?

complete make over?

window trims must be black with your set up.

CF splitter in black, do you mean painted black CF or just CF with no paint?

Personally I prefer a full lip than a splitter for F10. Splitter may be good for the E9x.

How about CF roof with white body? Just a thought with your proposed look.

I wouldn't repaint your car. It's still quite new. resale value will be affected.

Also, you must have the black grills either matte or gloss or may be the black side gills with your set up.

BTW, I think your car will be more like 78mao's. kfiend has no m sport front (not sure if he has it now as he has disappeared).

Yes, i think that is a good resale option too.
I will probably keep the CF untouched. but yes, u reminded me..if i do the vinyl, i will also get them to black out the chrome trim and maybe order the black kidneys

Sounds like it's going to be one mean looking car!

Mine is white as well and I love it! Be prepared to get dust/black specs on your car and these can be easily seen. Dark colored ones get swirls, light colored ones get the black specs. Nothing is perfect.

Agree with RC3. Just have it wrapped. Check this out:

http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=552323

You can mix it up. Since car is matte, you might want to go gloss black grills, gloss window trims, and gloss rims. Or just do matte for everything.

Just ask the guy to wrap the parts you wanna black out. You paid already, why pay more?

re-painting another color is easy to spot. they won't paint the inconspicuous parts like under the hood.

I think i will probably just do a very glossy/bright white.. the matte white is a bit too MK.

But the wraps i seen for bright white is not as glossy, so will hope if they got it as bright as typical paint.

AsiaKid, I wanna propose 3 mods for you since you are into performance mods with the PowerBox and V3. And you probably need these for your reckless driving at 160-200. 2) and 3) will improve the performance of our N53 engines.

1) Brembo GT Kit for front 6 piston calipers

This line is dedicated to the most demanding customers. This braking system originates from the Racing components, consisting of a ventilated, integral or composite disc, available drilled or slotted, 4, 6 and 8 piston aluminium calipers, a complete set of high performance brake pads, metal braid tubes and high quality small parts.
1. High Performance Friction Material: Aggressive pads that provide the highest level of performance.
2. Cross-Drilled or Slotted Discs: Clears gasses, cleans pads for better “bite”.
3. Mounting Brackets and Assembly Hardware: Aircraft quality included and pre-torqued specifications.
4. Stainless Steel Braided Brake Line: DOT/TÜV approved.
5. “Floating” Disc Mounting System with Billet Aluminium Hat: Reduce “Unsprung Weight” for better handling and reduces heat-related stress; increases brake performance and pedal feel.
6. Four, Six or Eight Piston Cast Aluminium Calipers: Provide maximum braking force without the flex of sliding calipers.

2) Okada Projects Plasma Direct

A revolution in ignition technology!!
The Plasma Direct is the ignition coil with a high power amplifier built in to it.
The Plasma Directs produce 4 times more spark energy than stock coils and also generate an ultra fast multi spark discharge of 10 sparks up to highest RPM.
The spark amperage is increased 100%, allowing the spark to reach many more molecules and therefore accelerate the ignition and combustion process. This is extremely important in forced induction applications but also improves the performance of normally aspirated engines.

The Plasma Direct will increase horsepower and torque throughout the entire rpm range. This upgrade will also reduce fuel consumption. Even the engines with a legendary smoothness will be further refined with the Plasma Direct upgrade. Our Plasma Directs are OBD II compliant.

Installation is easy. Direct bolt-in to the engine, no splicing or cutting into stock wiring, simply replace the stock coils with our Plasma Direct Coils and ready to go!

Plasma Direct- Plasma Direct is made to a specific application. Please check Application chart to find the correct model for your car.

3) Okada Projects Plasma Ground

The Plasma Ground is connected at the ground side of the ignition coil and increases performance and engine efficiency by creating an ultra fast alternating current at the secondary spark discharge, this is called Coil Ground Tuning.
Plasma Ground works perfectly together with all other Okada Projects Plasma Ignition parts and increases secondary spark discharge current.
Increase in secondary current is extremely important, since it creates a faster burn for high performance engines. The Plasma Ground is engineered to increase spark effectiveness on BMW engines, and is 100-percent compatible with any late model OBD and engine control units.

Just do a re-print if you want glossy white, sure it will look much better than wrapping.

yeah, I had the plasma stuffs in my proposed mod list. A lot of the E9x guys installed them. Popular in Japan. I already enquired the local vendor for the stuffs. If you like I can pass you the info.

As you can see, my mods are all cosmetic and none performance yet. Hey, I am group D, bro.

Brembo just for the front won't be that bad for your wallet.
