Phone Lead

Hi Guys

New ish to this site so sorry if this has been covered before. I live in the UK and have just picked up my new M5 on the 23rd December.

I have been reading about the phone cradle and the issues around them especially if using a phone cover as I do for the iphone 6s so I was wondering if there was a lead that you can buy as opposed to the snap in cradle?

I understand you can buy a snap in cradle that is not phone specific but would still like the option of the lead only if possible.

I use the USB port for my ipod so cannot use that for the phone.

If yes then where can I get one please?

Cheers, Russell.

If you just want to charge it how about a USB adapter for the cigarette lighter in the cup holder?

The link via the plug under the dummy snap in adapter is linked to the internal antenna so boosts the phone signal - I understand it also allows better streaming and other functions - this is why I would like a lead for it

Will get some up next week - she is off to see a chap I know that is going to apply a paint protection called Ceramic-Pro and when I get her back she will be gleaming, well at least for about 30 seconds and hopefully enough to get some pics

I would also like to know this but from my reading I don't think there is one. I have a 7 plus so it won't fit in any standard snap in. The universal one will work and is the only one to come with a separate lead as far as I can see. I understand that the cradle bit that slots in is actually what converts the signal from the plug in the socket, into a useable signal boost for iPhones, because the lightning connector does not have any aerial pins, and the universal cradle acts as an aerial inductor, boosting the signal that way. also you get the benefit of the cooling fan. So I think I'm going to have to go that route.
