What would you offer on this car?

Guys, this is a 2015. What would you offer? The only thing I don't like about it is the non-sport auto transmission and the color.

I can't help with the price because your market is totally different to ours, however I would say that the 2 things you don't like are literally my 2 most important options.

The SAT option being the most important as you could grow to love the colour but if you have your heart set on SAT, the non-SAT car will always feel like second best when you drive it.

I'd aim for 15% under MSRP on a prior year model like this one.
SAT can be enabled via coding but if you want the paddle shifters and nicer shifter those are obviously hardware upgrades which you could consider making part of the negotiation. Paddle shifters require a steering wheel replacement.

I thought that the transmission ECU is part of the shifter (underneath) and coding alone will not give SAT performance on a regular transmission - the transmission ECU needs to be changed as well.

Thanks guys. Im better waiting a while and saving a bit more money to get what I want. Essentially, would rather have a 535i M-Sport with SAT. lol. Right before next Christmas should be prime time.

Enabling 2TB is a simple coding change which will give you SAT shift behavior. No hardware changes are needed.
The GWS firmware is the same whether or not the car has SAT, and of course the transmission is identical.

I've done that very successfully with a sport steering wheel I got from Lithuania. I have a write-up and pictures explaining and correcting the airbag issue vis-a-vis single stage vs. dual-stage, if anyone is interested....

Why would you need a sport-auto trans with a turbo 4cylinder? It's not going to be fast so it shouldn't matter. I have a 550 msport with the sport auto and it sucks ass, in manual mode you have to shift waaayyy BEFORE redline or it shifts by itself, it's lame and I never use it.

With sport auto If you put it in sport+ and move the shifter to the left and start paddlin', you should have full control - no automatic upshifts unless you actually hit the limiter, and no automatic downshift/kickdown.

That alone is one main advantage of SAT over std auto. Give it a try.

Yes I understand all that and I know how it works, it's just lame that it shifts before redline so you have to shift BEFORE the car does it for you.

Mine doesn't, it will hit the limiter and then change. Considering I plan to change at the limit and not after it bounces, I have no complaints.
