Do I need to alter headlamps for France?
Hi folks, can anybody confirm to me that, I don't need to manually alter my march 2011 f10 headlamps to lhd for an impending trip to France? I have read a previous thread re an F11 but still confused! it stated it has a flat beam so not necessary (he had visibility pack, I don't).
I have RTFM ! No help! Any advice greatly appreciated. Ewan |

There appears to be a great deal of confusion about this. I have the adaptive bi-xenons and, like you, have read elsewhere that no alteration is required as the dip beam is projected vertically downward. However, I would prefer to see an official statement from BMW before venturing onto the continent, especially as I hear that the French police are particularly rigid in enforcing road legislation.
I think the best option would be to contact your dealer and/or BMW UK. |

Guys, have you ever tried to read official manual (old style, paper one :P ) which comes with your car?
You should switch off the automatic main bean when you are driving on the continent, that's is. Everything else is adjusted automatically. |

You are correct, there is no adjustment needed.
