Finally got it!
I finally picked up my F10 2.0D today. Lovely car to look at and drive. I have a couple of questions though;
1. Should I have a proper thick detailed handbook? All I have is a booklet about the on-board handbook. 2. I can't get the USB to work. It just says not connected. I'm using a USB card reader. It's like a USB stick with a SD card slot in the side. 3. Can I change the read-out between the dials to show average mpg instead of miles left in tank? Thanks. |

Thanks. Do you know if it's possible to set the a/c so that the passenger temp changes with the driver temp? I have only the basic a/c.

In my car I had to use the USB in the glove box for music playing or transfer. Is this the one you mean ? If so then it should work.

The USB in the glove box is just for transfer and updates.
It's possible that you can't use card readers (because hard disk's won't work). To sync both temp settings you need the extended A/C. This is one of the differences between them. |

I had the same question the other day as I couldn't figure it out, but it sounds like you need the extended features to do it, which is crazy...

this is correct. in my car I have the "ALL" button and have it turned on now....doing that keeps both sides in sync when you adjust the drivers side.

Thanks for all the help. Not having a printed manual is a real pain. Dealer says he'll send it on. In the meantime I have 5 more questions;
1.Do you have to use a cable to connect a USB stick or can you plug it in directly? 2.How do you make the coming home lights come on automatically when you open the door? 3.Do you have to press the off button twice to turn off engine and ignition before you can exit the car? 4. Can you make the parking brake come on and release automatically? 5. I have ambient lighting. Should the front footwells be illuminated at all times or just when getting in and out? Thanks again. Yes then plug the USB stick into the Outlet in the glovebox, it's in the R/Hand corner at the top, you need to crouch down to see it, then go into settings and connect it.
