Went by the dealer today to take a look. sales man ran out ready to sell. i said dude i drive a 535i, come on now lol. I really dont like the interior of the i8.

It was on sale, it has 200 miles, Dealer was ready to sell it.

There is a Ferrari, Maserati and Bentley dealership a couple miles down the road so I guess the BMW dealer has to compete.

Yeah that could do it.. I'm guessing on something like the i8 though, such limited production and I thought they sold out.., probably someone's order that backed out. Seems to me that anyone else spending that kind of money on a car isn't likely to take someone else's config unless it either matches what they wanted or they just don't want to wait as long to get their own. I can't imagine dealers even have the option to order a car like that just for dealer inventory.
