Does anyone notice that RFT (Run Flat Tires) is not a standard equipment anymore on the F10 5 Series catalog? (Except 535i)

QUOTE from the UK bochure posted here:

The models illustrated in this brochure show the specifications for the German market. In part, they include optional equipment and accessories not fitted as standard. According to the specific requirements of other markets, alterations in models, standard and optional equipment, as described in the text and illustrations, may occur. For precise information please contact
your BMW partner
.

So as the Europeans always get less car for more money, everybody in the US or CA market be happy and patiebnt for things to come in June....

BTW: Why does everybody want a 6-Speed manual if they could have an 8-speed auto???? As it is not an option for the 550GT in the US, I doubt it will be for the 550i.

No worries. The 550i will get the 6MT (check the official US press release). I must have one of these (with a whole a lot of options)!

These are very nice options:

Ambient light includes illumination of the storage compartment in the front centre armrest, the storage areas in the doors, the door openers and the door trims, and vicinity lighting integrated in the exterior door handles.

Also there is this nice option which so far has been available in very rare sedan models (in 5 series price level):

Automatic operation of tailgate: the tailgate can be opened and closed automatically via the radio remote control.

Do want...so badly! I would love a 550i with 6MT and msport. Seems rather quite confusing that some sources state that the 550 will have 6mt while the brochure doesn't.

This means that the rear wheels and tires are wider than the front.

US terminology is "staggered".

Wasn't xenon and bluetooth supposed to be standard on the F10?

Is the HiFi system professional the logic 7 or DIRAC?

Yes, that immediately got my attention. I can only hope that RFTs are an option when the U.S. spec models are announced.
Beyond that, I agree with other posters that the number of things that are options on the Euro models have gone beyond ridiculous. Interior lighting, full-up airbags and Xenons ought to be standard on any car in this price range, just to name a few.
