Dont Get Me Started On The Base 3 Series Sound System. My Mom's Subaru Came With A Mcintosh That Is 100x Better Than That Pos.

The Only Reason To Spec It Is If You Are Planning On Gutting And Replacing The System.

Personally, I find the standard stereo pretty nice but I like the sound of the 4.4L better!

i dont have premium sound on my 535 but man, bmw shortchanged the sound system, sounds like something you'd buy from radio shack. the base system on my c-class sounded better. i'm not even an audio-phile, but i can tell what sounds good and what doesn't.

just get an exhaust system and turn off the radio.
