Electric seat adjusts itself !!

On the odd occasion when I wash the car, when I get back in the car the drivers seat has moved itself right down and right back of it's own accord, I can't reach the steering wheel or the pedals !!!

Anyone else have this problem ?

you got the memory seats fitted? have you set (and more importantly saved) your driving position? if not and you get back in with the key if you have the i-drive option in to always reset to last position that could be causing it.

I've got the standard seats with just the two electric levers on the side. All settings have been setup and saved in idrive under my name and related to my key but the seat has adjusted itself of it's own accord after washing the car. I did wonder if the keys were in my pocket whilst washing the car and I accidentally held some buttons down, could that move the seat ?

Very strange, especially as you only have part electric seats and, presumably, without memory function. I'd recommend that you contact your dealer.

I think there may be an auto memory thing that is key specific. I keep my own key, and I have never had to adjust the seats even after someone else has driven the car (with the other key).

Or maybe Casper has made your car his new home..
