New exhaust, backpressure/RPM needle fluctuating?
So just got my new Remus exhaust installed on my 2013 535 and noticed when slowing down, the RPM need will rev up a little, go down and jump a little bit until it settles. All this happens around 1500rpm.
I guess the question is.. 1. Is this normal? I can't imagine this was installed wrong as it just just clamped on. 2. Will the sound get louder over time or quieter? Thanks in advance guys, it's been a LONG time since I've had an exhaust put on and my old man memory isn't remembering if this has happened in the past.

yea thats just a downshift, dont worry about it.
the ECU has to "learn" your new exhaust. this takes about 300 miles to do. I recommend not to do any full throttle pulls for the first 100 miles. for the next 200 miles after that, be sure to do lots and lots of full throttle pulls, like at least once a day as this will help the ECU. its not going to get louder or quieter, but it will sound noticeably better in 500KM and will drone less by then as well. |

never delete resonators unless you plan on installing an x-pipe.
