Have you compared the M5 CP / M550d combo vs the H&R?

The M5 fswb might be a bit softer than the H&R, but the M5 CP fswb /M550d rswb is awesome IMO. It completely transformed the handling and body roll is minimal

M5 owners that have upgraded to CP bars also report a substantial improvement. Haven't found anyone that has done back to back comparisons between the CP setup and the H&R, so it's hard to actually say that the H&R is much better.

And, since I have not had the H&R on my car, I can of course not claim that my setup is better/much better/worse/much worse than the H&R. But for whatever it's worth I am super happy with my M5 CP/M550d setup (and I have driven my car on track with this setup, it's a night and day difference to the original sway bars...)

I had this combo before I change to H&R and H&R is much better, it depends how hard you push the car.
also H&R are much cheaper than this combo.

You had M5 CP fswb and M550d rswb? Or M5 fswb and M550d rswb?

The M550d / 650i rswb part numbers are posted in this thread somewhere. Just read from the start and all the info you need is there!

so when i order the 650i rear sb for my 535i i need part number...
-33556791932 for the sway bar and
-the part numbers for the bushings, stabilizers, and the bolts?
should be 2,3,4 on diagram

https://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/20...agramCallOut=1

also if mines not xdrive

ps, and also if the 650 rsb is 16mm wouldnt be easier and smarter to order the h&R rsb thats 20mm for $20 more?

You only need two bushings, 33556788630, and the sway bar.

That's great news. I have the ECS upgrade kit. Doing the springs next with either ACS or H&R OE and then was aiming for Koni FSD. I hope I can get close to my e90 m sport feel again.

The obvious thing that works against our cars whether it be the 550i or the 535i is the weight. E90 335i felt like a freaking go kart and had my heart racing every time I took my fave corners. The lowering springs I added to the 550i helped but the weight is always present.

I just hope these sways will make me say YAY again Rear sways from ECS says that it will come on Thursday of this week. The front sways will arrive today. I'm working 10 days straight as of this past Saturday so next week I hope to get the sways, front splitter, and side skirt extensions on. Also will have to detail her as well so I hope to have a full on photoshoot next week.. with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 haha

Biggest thing I found you need to do is also add a bit more HP and torque to the car. I did the front/rear sway bars upgrade (M5/650) and then also did Dinan Springs and Performance ECU which did transform my car along with Intercooler and air filter upgrade. Added an exhaust and the car was wonderful to drive...weight was less an issue but the 550i is still a mid-large sized sports sedan. Can't forget or really get around that.

Sorry to bump an old thread but reading through wanted to confirm:

M5 CP Front Sway bar (31357850119)
M550d Rear Sway bar (33556791932 + 33556788630)

^ will these fit a 528i xdrive? ECStuning list the RSWB for 535i xdrive but not the 528i xdrive.

Rear sway bars designed for F10 will not fit on F11.

F07 (5 Series GT) and F11 share the same rear air suspension and use unique part numbers for a lot of rear axle components, for example the rear sway bar.

There are only two rear sway bar part numbers for F07/F11 without EDC (i.e. independent of engine):
33 55 6 788 860, d=16mm (for vehicles with base suspension)
33 55 6 790 184, d=18mm (for vehicles with M Sport suspension, 704)

If your car isn't equipped with M Sport suspension you can upgrade from 16 to 18 mm rear sway bar.

Hey guys... quick question regarding the sway bar:

I took my 535i into the dealer and they diagnosed a weird sound as a bent sway bar... bent due to the increased pressure put on it from running KW V3 coils.

If i'm understanding this thread correctly; I can purchase the M5 sway bar here:

http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

And it fits without any additional modifications? And it's a thicker rod so it should be able to handle the increased stress?

Thanks!

One last question on this upgrade... is it problematic to upgrade the front sway bar (i need as mine is bent) and not upgrade the rear?

Yes, you can upgrade the front only if you wish. Many of the members here did just that, including myself.
