Taxes in Texas
I have gotten different answers from different CA's but does anybody know if I am doing an ED lease in Texas if I have to pay my sales tax up front in a lump sum payment or if I can roll it into the lease payments? I know because of Texas Law, I have to pay sales tax on the entire purchase price of the car, but want to clarify whether or not I can roll it into my lease payments.

You pay a different tax rate than sales tax on vehicle in Texas. Here in Houston, sales tax is 7.75% but tax on a vehicle is 6.25%. Yes the tax can and normally is rolled into the payment.
