Turbo noise

Usually the first time I step on it in the day my turbos sound completely identical to a supercharger. Anyone else having similar sounds come from their turbos?

I hope you are not "stepping on it" before the oil temp is up. I have not detected a difference in sound for morning/p.m. or first "step on" to second - I'll listen closer next time.

Yea I let the oil heat up past the quarter point and even then I only take it up to 3500/4k.

What is the quarter point? The 145 degree mark or the next mark. It seems to take forever for the my temperature gauge to move past the 145 mark. I've driven about 5 miles before it got past the 145 mark.

One time, I was only about 2 miles down the road, and I passed two speed bikes. As soon as I got next to them on a two lane road, they floored it, so I did too without thinking, and passed them going about 105 mph. And that was before I got my Dinan software upgrade. I couldn't believe how fast I got over 100 mph.

I hope I didn't hurt anything by flooring my 550i only after about 2 miles. Oh well -- too late now.

The quarter point is the first line after 140 F. Sometimes were forced to floor it for the greater good how are you liking that dinan tune, do you believe it was necessary. My car is stock and I still take out 98% of the cars I race..the place where my brother tuned his X6 is giving me a special price of $750 for the tune I just honestly don't think it's necessary yet.

It's worth every penny for me. Like other people have said, it completely transforms the car. It's already very fast, but with the tune, it's lightening fast.
