BMW Performance upgrade 530?

I went into my dealer yesterday and asked if they can confirm the power upgrade kit for the F11 530 d.
I have been quoted £1700 inc vat for the following,
Larger inter cooler
Upgraded ECU
Larger brake discs and callipers
Engine plaque/ sticker
I questioned the brakes and had a call today to confirm it does and that they fit the 535 discs and callipers.
Seems strange but they insist this is the case.
Has anybody else had the kit fitted to confirm please as if it's the case it's not a bad coast option?
Advice appreciated
Cheers,

Garage List
Wasnt aware they were offering such; are there Performance figures quoted ?

You dont mention a 2nd Turbo, so wondering if it gets anywhere near 535d territory?

Added: found details dated March, 2013 - bhp up about 30, to 286; Torques to 600 - think I'll wait till I can afford a 535d !

That seems a lot of extra hardware for not a lot of cost!

That's what I thought. You'd expect the discs and callipers plus fitting to be near on that at the dealers.

I am surprised to say that for the money including VAT is seems to good to be real. I have questions several times and the stealers are adamant that this is correct.
Seems worthwhile to keep the warranty too!!
Well that's my story to the good lady..

I would ask why bother. The standard 530d has enough grunt to get you past virtually anything you might want to pass.

I know some may say "But you have a 535d so you would say that wouldn't you" but the truth is that when I wanted to change I would have been more than happy with a new 530d - they just offered a too good to turn down deal on the 535d they had in the showroom.

I'd save the £1,700 and spend it on some fine wine. AS someone said to me the other day: "life is too short to drink mediocre wine in moderation"!

It's a fair shout,,think if honest I will put the money into the track car instead but still very tempted!
