F10 Headlight Questions

Hi guys. I am fighting the condensation problem with one of my headlight units. Two questions: Do these units have a drain? And what is the function of the two white things in the photo below?

Edit: I attached the jpg. I can't get it to display in the post.

Thanks guys.

condensation is known and normal on these headlights. But if that condensation is covering the good center part of the light then there is issue. Around the edges is all okay.

I completely understand. I have the issue in a major way.

I also just bought a F11 and the guy selling the car told me I shouldnt worry since it's to be expected. I didnt want to trust this but other people told me its even mentioned in the manual that this is a normal behavior of the headlight

Take out headlights. Remove all modules. Rinse the inside of headlights with distilled water. Let it dry. Apply good clear silicone in gap where clear lens meet the black housing. Don’t need to take apart lens.

That's what I don't get. If those are open to the air, how does sealing the headlight fix anything.

It is designed to vent out. All headlights have vents. Bulbs produces heat and it needs to breathe. If you don’t seal, a lot more moisture will come in and destroy your modules then you will have an expensive repair

Do you need diagram for a specific fuse/device or you would like to know what each fuse is for?

My F10 is now literally a fish bowl. Water got inside and when the shop removed it, the water drained from those two white things plus from the electrical connection port on the headlight. not sure what is the best plan to go through now since I really dont want to spend 1k$ on a new driver headlight assembly...

Post #2 provided the answer.....and I had a bad leak in the corner of the lens, drained out the water, sealed the edge of the lens to the black housing, and all is good....no leak through rain or car washes for the last 10 months....

Thanks a lot for the replay. Unfortunately my headlight seems to have contained this water since a long time and everything inside the headlight is corroded already. TMS module and also where it plugs in is corroded with some burn marks. Also the LED bulbs for the angel eyes seems to have some burn marks too. So that headlight assembly seems toast (no pun intended).

Found a nearby wreckyard with 2 clean OE BMW headlights asking for 1300$ for the pair with everything inside of them included and it seems like I'm heading that way.

Why get a pair when only one is damaged? because the one left is Hella branded which I know OEM but I want the pair to match in terms of brand (I know OCD much? lol) but moreover in terms of condition. I would hate it to have one light looking slightly yellower than the other or the light beam itself is different shade because of the difference in age. Plus in that case I would have one spare headlight assembly with everything in it just in case.
