Switching Headlights from LCI to Pre-LCI on 2015 528i

so i got into an accident that was basically my fault so i'm gonna have to come out of pocket right now for the accident, just need to replace the bumper and my headlights. and i seen new headlight for lci f10 are like 1.5k+ but a pair of pre lci headlights are like 800 i've seen in some places. i'm thinking of just buying brand new pre lci ones so 2011-2013 model year to replace my 2015 ones. would it be as easy as plug and play? or would i have to do some re wiring or something?

Depends. Do you have xenon headlights or LED headlights?

swapping between xenon and LED or vice versa will be counterintuitive to what you’re trying to do. But if you’re sticking with xenon to xenon swap then there shouldn’t be any issues. At least none that I know of.

I could be wrong? Because the pre-LCI has LED turn signals and the LCI do not. Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in.
