Shuddering with low speed braking
I just took delivery on a 535i with the M-Sport package a few days ago. Absolutely love the car overall (minus the usual "doesn't quite give you the 3-series or old 5-series handling" caveats), but I've noticed that once every nine or ten times that I'm gradually braking to a stop, the car gives an odd "shudder" for a half second or so, not quite the ABS or down shifting sensation. It doesn't seem to matter what drive mode I'm in, and it seems to be happening a bit less frequently now. Anyone have any ideas what it might be, and if it's anything to worry about?

sounds like you have the 'bed' the brakes in, was there minimal miles on the odometer when you took delivery? just break (not brake) the car in properly an di tshould go away. perhaps inspect the rotors and se if it's warped, I doubt it though.

Evolve - yes, there were 11 miles on the car from the dealership. That makes perfect sense. It's not much of a nuisance, I'll just keep breaking it in and wait until 1200 miles. Thanks so much for the info.

The shuddering has almost completely gone away. Thanks again for the advice!
