Alex and I get together when our schedules meet up. We're both busy. I want to get it knocked out but its not super high priority.

The last week I've been busy trying to put together a deal on a 13 X3 35i for my wife. Adding another N55 to the stable, I'll probably have Alex tune that one too.

The Wagner FMIC certainly lowered my cruising IAT and stopped the IAT from rising so damn much under repeated pulls. Actual performance gains? Yeah who knows, but lower IAT's are lower IAT's

Maybe the lower IAT plays a roll when your 25-30+psi generating some real heat. Stock fmic is holding up quite well.

I saw a big difference in IAT on repeat pulls. The stock does a piss poor job at keeping IAT constant, rises are HUGE, in some cases 50-70*F increase.

The larger unit keeps IAT rise very low, around 10*F.

Wondering about your experience with Wagner on your N55 with JB4 setup, thanks man.
Not sure how to best equate it to HP numbers, but with the stock intercooler, my IAT's over a 1/4 mile run I would go up 15-20 degrees. Since installing the Wagner FMIC I see my IAT's typically drop 5-7 degrees during a run. Knowing I was going to do more mods, and living in AZ it makes a big difference in temps.

5-7 degrees drop in temp seems negligible. I thought fmic provided a larger drop than that in iat's?

A drop under boost, vs a huge rise under boost is negligible?

A larger FMIC is about heat management, resistance to heat soak, and keeping IAT's from rising under heavy load / high boost pressures.

The stock intercooler is miserable for this.

Just to add, I finally added the CTS Turbo fmic to my X4 m40i after a friend added it to his X3 35i.. Hence nobody makes one for us but we saw on RealOem parts are identical and just needs a little tweaking. My fav shop installed it for me and I'm loving my lower IAT temps.

Stuck I thought it would be more of a 15-20 degree difference. I understand helps better manage heat soak so evens if it's only a 7 degree drop I need to upgrade. Believe be me I really need one now. Something big just changed with MP development and I should have some updates by this weekend. It could be due to Alex's findings on your ride. My car is a rocket ship now if it wasn't before. FSociety thanks for inside on the fmic. You're gonna like the new developments. Ill post soon.

You ever get around to the Brentwood/Samo area? I would love to feel the MP flash in person.

About to post a new dyno so the opportunity is soon. I'm guessing I'm about 20whp more since last dyno @345whp and the new trick on pwg is how the long the power holds. The goal for me right now is 375whp on stock hardware. With some new developments I'm feeling very confident about a 535 with a better turbo hitting 450-500whp, Stuck should be hitting this numbers soon with his PS2, standby...

Keep in mind when I said it would drop 5-7 degrees, that is in place of a 20-30 degree increase. Net change is tremendous. I am saying that from start to finish of a pull, my temps are actually dropping from the airflow over the intercooler. On the stock intercooler temps would climb 20-30 degrees.

Well your auto trans may have a lower torque output, but for the 535 the problem has been building horse power across the range instead of peaking early and then falling on its face. Alex has found the cure for pwg applications. So even if you could only output 340whp tapering would happen much further down the rpm range thus a feeling of constant pulling. Dyno is coming to see if the new tune worked. If so it means the PS2 on our cars with the MP flash is gonna be beast. 335 owners might be like, "ok then"

Good to see MP making improvements on the tune to be able to squeeze out more power out of the stock turbo! As much as I'd love to keep modding my car and hopefully upgrade to the MP stage 2 at some point I have decided to stop modding it and move onto something faster right out the box from the factory so I wouldn't have to mess with it lol. Have my eyes set on a CPO RS7 or possibly a ZCP F10 M5 with CPO platinum warranty as those cars have been depreciating like crazy!
