Everytime I floor my throttle and have a little fun , my car dumps oil somewhere...
It doesnt smoke or anything and coolant is fine.... Car has 70,000 miles.... Car's power is fine during normal commute and when punching the throttle... i just lose a crap load of oil everytime i punch it Anyone have an idea where my oil is going? |

Burning? Do you see evidence of oil leak anywhere? On N55 I've seen the heat exchanger hoses leak at the fitting to the heat exchanger.
How much gets lost after you drive hard? And how do you know? Car barking to add oil after you gun it?

No leaks from everything I've checked visually...
I don't know how much exactly but I look at the bar in iDrive and it loses a quarter from the bar.... Doesn't bark right away but after a little while as oil level drops and is measured by the sensor |

I think black tail pipes are a general symptom of direct injection engines. How offen does it happen ? I usually find that more oil is used on low load conditions as the piston rings aren't working effectively and also the turbo seals rely on boost pressure to seal. Do you have good boost?

I'm having the same issue. But I noticed it after I installed the Jb+. I just added a quart after it barked at me, that was a week ago. When I added oils it went to the max line now its in the middle of the two. Don't see any leaks in the engine bay or any sign of oil on the bottom of the lower engine covers under the car. . Any tips ? Thanks

Check your oil cooler where your oil filter sits. Those are notorious for leaking. Mine was losing a quart every month. I opened the lid that covers the oil cooler valve and there was a lot of gunk under the seal allowing more oil to build there and escape. Cleaned it, reinstalled it and now it doesn't leak there anymore. Now its a quart every 2 months with hard driving.
