If you search, others have done this. It turns out looking pretty good, and is low risk, low cost. Go for it. If you don't like it, peel it off.

What do you think I should do with the chrome bar? It's a lease, so nothing permanent. Any ideas?

Well I ordered $50 worth of stuff on dipyourcar.com . I got black plastidip, glossifier and smoke (for tail lights) if I do the diffuser good and also if it's easy. I'll buy some more to do my roof. If not I have a guy that'll do my roof in 3M for around $100

You do the roof with plasti dip or vinyl? Most people do the roof with vinyl. I haven't seen plasti dip for just the roof

I've seen a couple people do it with plastidip. If I was good with vinyl I could do it for $25. I can't even put a screen protector on without it having at least 2 bubbles lol I'm just happy they make a gloss dip now. Otherwise I wouldn't even think about it

You like your roof glossybor matte? If glossy to look like pana roof then have to use vinyl cause even glossifier won't give you enough gloss.

Really? I've never seen glossifier in person. That's why I ordered it, just to try it and seen the "shininess" of it. But I guess that's out. Do you think maybe if I just put a crazy amount of coats it will work????

The issue is plasti dip itself wont create a smooth texture on the surface as real paint job or vinyl. Speaking of glosst, nothing beats the real paint job. I'll post some photos and you know what I mean

The roof is vinyl, the wheel is plasti dip. 2 different type of texture on the surface. Even thou I didn't use glossifier on my wheel but the guy at dipyourcar.com on his tutorial video for dipping wheel, he said graphite metallizer (the color I used on my wheel) acts just like glossifier. So that is the kind of shinny you can get. If you put more coats, maybe you get a bit more shiny.....but you will see the different obviously between dip and vinyl.

I think you should just try the dip on your diffuser first, then decide if you like that kind of gloss or not

I dont have a lease but I figure when I sell mine, dealer would ding me if I really do a paint job on my car, so I just go with vinyl. Vinyl also can be peel off when you don't want it anymore

That color on the rims is sick. I never liked total black on a white car. That's exactly what I want. I mean either way I go it's not expensive. If I do plastidip its gunna cost about $70-80 if I do vinyl it's $100 so maybe I'll just do the vinyl and not worry about washing the car a different way.

Yea, since you already ordered the dip, try it out. It's pretty fun to do too. I use it on my wheels and my badge. Window trim, door handle, diffuser...all vinyl
