Vehicle Safety Recall

Just had a recall notification through for my 530d M Sport, anyone else received one?

It's for 'checking and replacing the flexible disk, if required - Code 00263x0100'

Apparently it's a disk fitted to the prop shaft and failure can result in a loss of drive....

Just booked mine in for early September

I saw these recalls on the main forum over in the US some months back, however they seemed to be related solely to xdrive models. I think it was only a certain batch of parts that were affected, so for many the check was precautionary

If it's VOSA then it'll be up on the DVSA website.

It's a BMW recall but they got details of the registered addresses of car owners from the DVLA

You can always ring a dealer with your registration/VIN number and they should be able to advise....

My E90 (2011) had this replaced last week by Rybrook Warwick. They only had the car for half a day. I received a phone call from them about this. A week later, I received a letter from DVLA too about this. Not heard if it's affecting my F10 (2012) though.
