Black diffuser on AW with M-sport to paint in white?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Has anyone cared to paint the black diffuser on the Alpine White M-sport also in white?
The black part narrows the back of the car in my opinion!
Anyone done that?

What do you think?

Thanks

because the colors probably wont match. The diffuser looks strange on lighter cars, but I'd be inclined to leave it alone.

To each their own...

But I (and i think a LOT of AW owners) like the contrast the AW has w/ the dark diffuser!
You're making it look like a 528 (no offense) with it white IMO....but if you like the look its your car...

If you like it white, I am sure alot of non-M owner would love to swap rear bumper with you.

Also the black breaks up the rear a bit making the car looks more aggressive, everything in body colour looks like an Accord if you ask me.

On the E60 it came with the same color. So it was white on white...
Do you have the same opinion on that?

Yes it does, alot of people painted the diffuser matte black on the E60. Maybe that's why the kit comes with a matte black diffuser now.

Initially I thought it might look quite good, but then I saw Gatoman's photo - IMO definitely best left alone.

The contrast between the dark diffusor and the AW wide body makes the back look wider and therefore more aggressive.
It's a visual effect.

All white will make the back look higher and less wide, more like the 5GT.

Gato's pic confirmed my suspicion.
