Oil temp...
Couldn't find anything searching so here goes...
I just purchased a '14 535i M Sport to replace our 2006 Lincoln LS. I've noticed the oil seems to run hotter (the needle is closer to 250) than in our base '12 535i. Is this normal?? If so any reason? |

Yes, 250F is normal.
There are 2 different oil cooler types fitted to the F10 535i. Some cars have a direct oil heat exchanger, other cars have an oil/coolant heat exchanger. |

I initially thought Sport package got the direct oil type, and non sport got the other.
But I've since seen cars equipped either way. It may be a production date thing. Can't say I've cared quite enough to nail it down. |
