Thanks for the input.
Oh, and why so adamant about the front plate? Really don't want to give the cops any reason to pull me over - would prefer to limit those interactions as much as possible. They have more important things to do anyway.
Yeah, although I hate the plate, it's less worse then getting parking tickets and being pulled over, I'm too old for that $h*t. I already have tint on the front windows I don't want to give the man another reason to sweat me. I really would advise against the plate bracket, but it's really a personal preference sort of thing. Maybe just try and suspend the bracket with some tape and put the plate on to see how it looks, take some pictures, ask some people, then do the same with no bracket and see which you prefer. Cause once you "drill baby drill", there's no going back.

If you must have the front plate, I suggest rhoplate. Uses the tow hook connection for mounting so you don't have to make holes in the bumper. Looks kinda cool with the plate off to the side.

Not sure about the offset. Definitely unique and pretty nice but I'm a guy that prefers symmetry. Sorta reminds me of the time I was having a conversation with a lady that had a big mole on one iris. Now, if something like that existed for a center mount....I would be in.

gatoman, +1.

There are about 1/2 a dozen ways to do it. The offset looks odd to me, everytime I see it. I also thought about the plate you can control via remote that would retract, but it sits too low on the F10 and blocks the radiator. Plus you can still kinda see it.

How does dealer attach?

Does the front plate holder get attached with wood type screws that don't need a nut on the back? It appears that it would be very difficult to attach a nut behind the bumper as there is no access without what appears to be major disassembly. If the answer is "yes, wood type screws" has anyone used the color matched plugs to cover the holes and have a picture of it?

This is a variation of gatoman's idea of a flush plate without drilling. I also used the double sided 3M tape to attach it. The screw buttons are over flat plastic rivets that you can get at your local hardware store . The plastic cover is sold at Kragen to be used with a metal/plastic frame but I did not use a frame and just painted the edge the same glossy black as the grill. It protects the plate and it weighs nothing so the 3M tape holds it really well - no screws, no drilling thanks for the idea gatoman

Even though no plate is ideal, this is good color symmetry especially on the Msport version. Even though the front plate is a nuisance, you forget it's even there, and dare I say don't even look at the plate after a week. The real value is the reversibility, especially applied to on more of a enthusiasts version of the F10 (manual V8). No plates will probably hold minimal value to an average consumer, but real BMW-addicts will look for nicely added detail like this in the aftermarket.

license plate

Your car will come with the plastic plate holder in which you will have to screw into your bumper; My BMW sales Rep here in Germany used double sided tape and attached my plate to my front bumper works great; and is secured tightly; I have had my car for 4 months now and already had the dealer take it threw the automatic wash and the plate is still secured; have also driven from Kaiserslautern to Ansbach crusin at 110 MPH and no problem. Here in Germany I see a lot of cars going this route check out my garage and you can see how its look on my car.

Very interested in pics of this. Initially I didn't like the fact it blocked the radiator. On second thought, the plate would only be up when parked to avoid the damn Nazi parking meter patrols. Regardless, concept and apllication often have two very different outcomes so please post. Video in motion would be ideal.
