About F10 LCI Transmission system

Dear All:
I wonder if i can choose transmission system in F10 LCI?

for example:
Steptronic "sport" transmission is a standard equipment in LCI 528i in Taiwan.
Can I choose a normal Steptronic(without sport) transmission system when I order a 528i LCI?

And a normal Steptronic transmission is a standard equipment in LCI 520i in Taiwan.
can I choose a Steptronic "sport" transmission system when I order a 520i LCI?
How much it cost ?

Thank you~

At least in the EU, the sport transmission cannot be added to the entry level engines such as 520i, 518d and 520d anymore. It's a pitty as I have the sports automatic in my current F11 520d and I love it. I test drove an lci F11 520d xDrive with the standard auto the other day and it wasn't as good as the sports automatic.

For the higher range engines you have the option to choose between sports or standard auto. But if the 528i comes with the sports auto as standard in Taiwan you may not be able to change that. The price difference between the two transmissions is about 300 USD in the EU.

I agree. I think it depends on the region - where the car is sold at. Here in Indonesia the F10 520d come equipped with the 8sp AT

Wow....The price difference between the two transmissions is only 300 USD in the EU???

I know "sport" transmission system has "Sport+" item.
Besides the shift lever, is there any physical hardware difference between the two systems? or only different in computer setting parameters?

BTW,In taiwan,
"comfort access" is about 1700 USD,
"automatic door closed slowly system" is about 1400 USD.
I think it is double pirce than EU,am I right?

Actually, I am going to order an 528i LCI (because LED headlight is a standard ,I love that..), but I care "comfort access" & "automatic door closed slowly system"(product number is 323 I don't know how to say in English)more than "sport" transmission,so I wish to change "sport" to the two devices.

It seems that 528i in EU can choose transmission system freely, so I think I can ask my dealer to do the same thing for my order!

My dealer is still confirming the possibility of my order, but I can't wait to know the answer..so I ask in here.
Thank you for your reply!

If the 528i LCi gets sport transmission as standard, I don't see the problem, it's great.

Yes,I know it is good.

But I drive slowly...so...I want to change it to
"Comfort Access" + "automatic door closed slowly system".

There are no hardware differences between the standard and sport transmission, only software differences, the SAT gets paddle shifters and the leather boot around the shifter (at least in the U.S.)

That's a cool information,thank you!

In Taiwan, paddle shifter is a standard even in no sport AT cars.
But...what is the leather boot around the shifter ?Could you show me a picture?

My friend that owned a 520i LCI ask : is there any method to change his software so that he can also own "Sport+"?

Thank you again~

Here's the leather boot in my 2014 535i. I don't know if there's any way to get sport+ if it doesn't come from the factory with it.
