Smile X5 Key fob modification

So I recently found out about a company that modifies our current key fobs to become the shark fin style key. After the transaction and talking back and forth with George, who does the modification, my key was safely returned back to me modified. Everything is functional and there is no flaws. I recommend checking out Gates Innovation if you want this service done.

Not in Kommiefornya. We get a discount. IIRC, it's something like $250-$300.

That's actually a decent deal. The new key fob feels and looks a lot more premium and 2020.

Just an FYI...this "shark fin" style remote is not actually a "new style"...it's just the style of key that was offered for the X series (X1/X2/X5/X6/X7)...and was being used during the same time the other remote fob was being used. Not sure why the X3/X4 didn't get it.

Personally...I wouldn't change my f06's remote fobs to this style because then it would be easy to confuse it with the remote for my X5. Having two different styles helps me to identify which remote belongs to which vehicle. But this obviously doesn't present an issue to those that don't have an X sav/suv that would use the same type of remote.

I bought some of those colored stickers to differentiate between the remotes for our 535's.
