Welcome to the GTHAUS Family! We're glad you're happy with the system! If you have any photos/videos of the car we'd love to see and share them on our Facebook page.

Once again, congrats and enjoy!

I'm waiting on mine to arrive. If you don't mind me asking, what was the total install cost? My local BMW dealer is quoting me 5 hours at $109/hr, which seems high to me. Thanks.

Dealer is a rip off. Find a good tuning shop in your area.

Yeah, that's way too high for the install, even for the GTC option.

I just purchased mine and should have it installed the first week of January. I was quoted $250-$300 for the install from a good indy shop.

I'll post some videos and pics when I get a chance.

I got my Eisenmann Race done by a tuner in Portland,OR and they only charged me $400 total for about 4.5 hrs of work and that was only cause they had to install the exhaust then remove it cause my M5 valence wouldn't fit and then reinstall it once the I retrofitted back to the OEM rear valence. So basically your exhaust install should cost you anywhere between $300-400 total for a good indy/tuner/exhaust shop.

I'm running into the same problem -- BMW dealer is telling me that the Meisterschaft EV controlled exhaust is hitting the outside of both sides of 2012 OEM M5 rear diffuser. What modification did you have done to rear diffuser to make the application work? Rear diffuser already painted and exhaust installed and this is the news I'm getting...frustrating. Any insight is appreciated!

Unfortunately you may have a problem SoCalKid, issue will be the Meisterschaft cans. Don't know what the size of them are but you are limited space wise under the rear of the F10 on all models unfortunately due to the rear tire well which houses either a rear tire or electronics. So your rear cans may not be able to be fitted to the M5 rear valance without significant modifications. Problem is the M5 tips sit more inboard than on the other models and so when the rear valence is retrofitted with a stock exhaust or even some of the OEM ones...they may or may not fit due to the location of the rear valence cutouts on the M5 valence. Options I were given by my shop were buy a new exhaust (with smaller cans), buy an aftermarket CF valence to fit the cutout locations (i.e. Vorsteiner), or have the modify the rear chassis to try to get some space to make it fit (i.e. cutting into the rear well/subframe assembly)!

Others have done it successfully but not with OEM cans I don't think! Do a search and look at my post on my install attempt and you'll see what I am talking about. I;ve included the pics from my install that they took and sent me to show you what I mean. Good Luck.

Hey did you get better performance with the car as well? I am about to go from an E92 M3 to a 550i and I am worried I am going to take a hit in performance

I came from an e92 M3 as well. Power delivery is completely different. Much more low end grunt with the 550, but you do lose the high rpm frenzy of the M3. The 550i does pull hard to 6500, though.

You can always do what I did and go with a stage 3 Dinan tune, which brings the 550 up to 511hp and 580lb/ft. That is 97hp and 285lb/ft MORE than your e92 M3...

Yes I just went to Stage 3 and added the Shockware software too and the car is amazing. Fast as hell to 60mph...I'd dare say faster than my old e92 M3 as well! Just as quick but different driving experience. Of course the e92 M3 will behave a little better and be more nimble on the track and tight corners but so far I do not regret the 550i. I came from an e92 M3 to an '12 Audi A7 and now to my 550i BTW.

500+ hp at 5k rpm is good power....I mean the car redlines at 6500.....and is making over 400hp at that point.

Stage 3 is a beast....just don't get how you felt there was no top end power???
