Talking Ordered 550i in Hong Kong

Hello from Hong Kong!
Just ordered a 550i for July production 2 weeks ago in Hong Kong. Outrageous price here. And the 100% tax doesn't quite help either. All-in-All, is close to USD150,000

Specs:
Deep Sea Blue, Black/Black Dakota Leather, with Matt Aluminum exterior trim
Fine line Anthracite interior
standard in HK for 550i:
4-zone A/C
BMW Hi-fi loudspeaker Professional with 6 DVD changer. (Can't play DVD due to local regulations, though)
Comfort seats
Soft close system for doors
Auto tailgate
Comfort access
Cruise control with brake (sucks)
Foldable mirror with auto anti-dazzle
Prep for mobile phone with Bluetooth
Rain sensor and auto driving lights

Wheel style 329 with 245/45R18 front and 275/40R18 in rear.
Electric Glass roof
PDC
Ambient Light
Sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles
Roller sunblinds

Xenon light with washers
Adaptive headlights

Base price HKD584,000
Base price + Tax (progressive scale) HKD988,000 (USD 126,000)

Options that I added (and paid thru the roof here)
Parking Assist (big car. must make sure wife can parallel park. affects WAF) HKD 8K (exclusive of 100% tax)
Rear view camera + Surround View (cool. and +ve WAF) HKD 23,200 (excl tax)
Integral Active Steering (again. Big car. heard it really made a difference)
HKD 20,500 (excl tax)

I really envy you guys in US to be able to pay ONLY USD75K for similar configs.....
And to make it worse, we only get 1-yr free maintainenace program and 2-yr of warranty on the car.....
AND I have to wait until September at least for delivery!!!!!

PS. What will be nice 19" wheels (BMW or non-BMW) to be put on the car?

Many thanks.

Only US$150K? Consider yourself lucky...wanna know how much the 535i (not even the 550i - not available as yet) it is in Singapore? = S$292K = US$211K (at exchange rate of S$1.38 to US$1)...and less some of the options you have above...this really, really sucks!! Just imagine how our US brothers are feeling...

I seriously think that Sime Darby (Regional BMW dealer for SG/MY/Hong Kong?) is really scr*wing with the local customers....

For example, to order Nappa Leather seat, it will cost HKD35,000 (before tax), roughly USD4500 where as it is a USD1,000 upgrade option......

I feel your pain Brother...presume that business infra and after-sales support is the reason why BMW prefers to have an "exclusive" with Sime Darby-PML and not have more authorised distributors here in SG. The reality is that the PI route (parallel importer) is also not reputable - most just sell you the car and then you are on your own - so with the tech in the F10, its quite daunting to be "on your own"....thus, as customers we just "spread wide wide..." no choice!!

one can buy PI and let the BMW dealer service the car... no? you just have to pay for it.
