BMW F11 530i 2013 coolant top up?

Hi,

Can someone please point me to where to check the level and if necessary top up the coolant level on my 2013 BMW F11 530i? I searched online and the engine layout of all the examples I've found differs to mine (I have attached an image of mine).

Thanks!
Tony

100% a guess, but up near the (U.K.) passenger side hood strut, right by the cowl?
2:00 position in the photo above.
Do you have an owner's manual to flip through, it will be in there.

That would be my guess. What does it say on the top of each cap? Left cap in picture is window washer fluid, center cap is oil

Good point, OP needs to read the cap and if it says "Do not open when hot" then that's the one! And if so, strange BMW mounted a regular service item like that so far out of the way, while putting what looks like the ECU way up front. Those two items are backwards I say!

FYI Benson1970, washer fluid needs a new cap, and it looks like your valve cover or VANOS seals (probably both) are leaking at the front of the engine. Better check the oil filter housing and oil cooler gaskets while you're at it... they're probably leaking as well.

Is this a new vehicle for you? Have fun!

Thanks, the top right cap does indeed say "Do not open when hot" so I assume that’s it. I’ll double check when I get home and have access to the manual (away at present).
