I am about to buy a car and most probably it will be a F10 from 2016 (still thinking about a F11 but don't really need a station wagon). Recent F10 are now sold at great prices since the new G model is out.

The car I am looking at was manufactured in the beginning of last year (still didn't go to the garage selling it so don't have the VIN). I am quite confident it has NBT EVO and it has the following options telematics options:

06AC Intelligent Emergency Call - eCall
06AE BMW Teleservices
06AK ConnectedDrive Services (3 year)
06AM Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) (3 year)
06AN Concierge Services (3 year)
06AP Remote Services
06NS Comfort telephony

My question is, can it be upgraded to the latest version of idrive with carplay? can this be done remotely and how much will it cost me?

Car will have NBT. No F10 (or F11) has NBT_EVO.

Definitely cannot upgrade to include Carplay with existing hardware.

I'd be surprised if they didn't know which Nav system car has. Be suspicious of their integrity.

That said, if the car has been sitting for a year be sure to inspect it thoroughly. Drive it and check for tire flat spots and/or brake noises or vibrations. Car is also due for an oil change. Get it sorted before you take delivery. Don't be afraid to walk.

I want to thank the folks et bimmer-tech thanks to thier knowledge I know now that retrofitting EVO to F10 is expensive as hell and even than online services are impossible to have. Now that I know that, I have renounced the 5 series altogether. I cannot afford unfortunately the G30 as the launch prices are too expensive :-(
