F10 Hid Kit

I have a 528i

I been in the market for a H.I.D kit For my Low/high. I am looking for quality. I been searching around and trying to find whats the best out there. I found this review: http://www.mobilehid.com/philips-review.htm

I need some help. Does anyone have any experience with hid kits? I don't want to buy a cheap product that will give me problems.

here a few for the f10:

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/-p/hid_kit_combo_sku501.htm

http://www.bimmian.com/10/HIR/

http://www.stealthauto.com/Products/...Kit__HID-.aspx

Thanks guys,

Any advice would help.

I had problem on a HID kit I put in the fog on the E60. It led to multiple times of failure in the adaptive light module. After I took it off and put back to stock, the problems have gone away for good.

The dealer told me there were excessive power draws on the initial turned on which caused the voltage to spike beyond the manuf. spec.

Did it flicker? You prob needed Error Free Digital Decoders/Warning Canceller for European Vehicles.

No flicker at all. The adative light simply would not swivel/turn as your steering wheel is turned. Normally, the cornering light would light up as well, either if you are backing up or making the turn.

I found my case is extremely puzzling and even the guy sold me the unit did not know the correct fix.

Anyway, I took the kit off and since then (on stock) no more problem. Bizarre !

I got my HID's from DDM Tuning. Lows, Highs and fogs. No error. I do have error decoders on all of them though, it wouldn't work without em.

i never understood why people buy BMW w/out HID lights and then try to make it HID. HID should be standard, but I don't like the look of BMWs w/out HID on cars where it's not standard.

Thanks man. Yes they are 6000K oh the highs/lows and 3000K on the Fogs. 35w all around. I tried to go 55w on the lows but got an error when I had lows and fogs on at the same time even with the decoders,so I went back to 35w. It's not too much of an output difference IMO especially when the bulb is behind projectors.

Yes I did. The hardest part is finding a place to fix your ballasts where they won't be bouncing around. Everything else was plug and play.

Where did u mount the ballast for the low beam at? because accessing the bulb for the low beam is behind the mudguard right above the wheel.
thanks

Man.... These aftermarket kits DO NOT HAVE AUTO LEVELING!!!! You are going to blind oncoming traffic or the cars in front of you........

I'm sorry but I don't know if you have noticed that your driver side low beam is leveled just a bit lower than your passenger side low beam. BMW intentionally levels your headlights that way in order for us to avoid blinding oncoming traffic and at the same time increases visibility for road signs due to the higher level of the passenger beam. I don't know if it's the same way with bmw's that have auto leveling but it is with the ones that don't.

Yes but the halogen and xenon are very different. And no projectors for the aftermkt kits as well? You may just want to retrofit the OEM xenon setups.....
