M Sport Grill Replacement (550)

I received black grills for my 2014 550 m sport for Christmas and looking to do the install myself. Plenty of non-m sport videos for replacing grills but not for the m sport. Understand the m sport install is a little more involved. Can anyone help?

It's as easy as pulling out the old ones and putting the new ones in. Takes about a minute for each grill.

The new grills will snap in from the front but the old grills have to be unclipped from behind. The m sport makes it hard to get behind the old grills so looking for instructions/video on how-to. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Thanks guys! I finally found this thread to help out. I unscrewed the top bumper and went in from that direction. That allowed me to unclip the top of the old grills and then pull the grills from the front to break the bottom clips. Bending the bumper too much was my main concern and the thread below eased my mind in order to knock it out. OMI, I don't recommend just pulling the old grills out with force without unclipping a few clips first. I could see where the bumper slots holding the old grill could snap/break and the new grills would not fit back in securely.

Total time...about 20 mins.

Thank you again for your time and quick responses.

I pulled mine out the front without breaking any clips.
Put on a pair of gloves and pull evenly.
Pull on the top first, slowly pulling and jerking them slightly,
they popped out and then do the same on the bottom.

This method is a compete waste of time. You spent about 19 minutes too much to change the grilles.

Just pull and replace. No damage to bumper or clips on the grilles. I've changed mine several times this way.
