LED fog lights

Hey guys hope all is well. New to the forums not to the brand though. I'm looking to get this part but I was wondering if any of you guys used it or seen it in action I can't find any feedback on it. I have a 2012 528i.

Seems like a lot of money to look like an E-Class

But aside from my totally useless comment, no, I don't know anything about that particular setup. I'm looking for Amber LED Fogs, but can't decide on which ones.

Not useless at all, you got me thinking! My brother has a 2011 MB E550 -parked in the same driveway- and we rip on each other's cars daily. But I just wanted to see them in action to see how it looks with only the white angel eyes on.

I don't have any, but I think there's another LED/HID Fog thread floating around that might have a couple. I think it'll look super sharp with the Imperial Blue... I'm just worried they won't look amber enough.

+1 a few LED fog threads around.

I have yet to see an amber LED light bar (similar to the one in the ebay link)

There are Philips, Hella & Nolden that make this type of light bars (better quality ones).

Try this site. Look like they have a few nice extras at descent prices. Here is a similar thing for half the price.

BMW also sells a kit. You can also get this kit on EBay. Just search for Phillips DRL.

It looks too busy. Even KIAs got those now. The 5 series LED Halo rings are genuine, adding more LEDs would just cheapens your car. In my old Honda tuning days, we called it "Rice."

I suggest getting Amber or White HID bulbs for the fogs, and call it done. Just my 2 pennies!

You're right.. So white or amber? And which ones don't give errors?

+1

The next thing you know, you will be adding LED strips around the door sill and LED that flashes to the beat of the music

Keep it simple, adding more LED will cheapen the cars IMO, it's one of the reason why you don't see much in action. Save the LEDs when you decide to trade in for a KIA.

It's up to you on amber or white look. As long as the after market H8 bulbs have 35w power draw, you shouldn't have an error code. Don't go for anything that says 35w = 55w, or 55w. Stick with the same power draw as your OEM bulbs, which is 35w.

I just put HID's in my fogs (Superwhite)....almost an exact match with angel eyes (corona rings). No errors.

I can't remember the name but the guy I deal with has installed HID's on all my cars for the past 10 years. No problems whatsoever. I have to check my receipt. They cost 250 (installation included) .

Most Appreciated. I've had them for about 2 weeks now. No issues...No errors. Also had them on my 2010 335 coupe for six months with zero problems.

Good to know. Others who had after market HIDs say the startup voltage draw cause the error message to pop up over time. Please keep us poted.
