1/4 mile midnight mayhem

I'm going to the track tonight, Las Vegas motor speedway. I'm going to try a couple different ways to launch and try it in different modes. I'll be impressed if it runs in the 12's but I doubt it, I'm all stock except for Megan racing mufflers and I removed the charcoal filters from the airbox. I can't feel any difference with these mods so my expectations are pretty low, especially since my highly modded ws6 runs low 11's @ 135 on street tires. It would will destroy my 550 in a race. For fuel I will be running 91 octane with a can of NOS octane booster, we'll see how it goes. I'll post back later.

One more thing........

I'm just trying to get a base line before I get a piggy back or tune...?...I ment a piggy back or a piggy back since there is no tune.

Overall I'm not surprised, I'm at 2300ft above sea level and it was 90 degrees outside at the track. Even thou my times were not stellar, the Mustangs and chargers were mostly running mid 14's and a few mustangs dipped into the high 13's. I went with my friend, he has a 2015 Dodge Charger. He was in the left lane for runs 2 & 3 then we switched lanes on the last run. For the first run I got lined up with a shitty S-10 pick up low rider.

I would like to know what times other 550 owners are getting, if anyone has time slips or remembers what they ran please feel free to post.

A tune of some kind is next for sure. I'm waiting for someone to get a race chip on thier 550 and get some dyno numbers. If that doesn't happen soon, I'm getting bms stage 2 and trying to find some used m5 down pipes. I'm thinking that will get me in the 12's, plus I need drag radials. The 295's hooked ok but not good enough to get a decent 60ft time. Have you ran your car?

not so bad, I was running low 13s, completely stock.
hot weather but in Florida tho lol
simple stage 1 tune brought me into the mid 12s effortlessly

I was watching the videos from the track and I just saw smoke coming from the tires as I took off, it didnt see it till I loaded it to my iPad. It's wierd how I didn't notice all the wheel spin, the car is so quite inside I didn't hear it either..I guess with drag radials and a 1.6 second 60ft I could prolly get into the 12's with out the bms stage 2.

This definitely makes me feel better about running 13's. My 60ft times were 2.2-2.5 a 1.6 will give me .9 seconds faster which will put me in the 12's.

So the 4.8 0-60 and 13.1 Quarter Mile that has been advertised for the stock n63 550i is true then. with a really good launch you will be in the high 12's as another member mentioned earlier with a simple stage 1 you will be in the mid to low12's easy....
