Professional Media OR F11
I'm just finalising some lease quotes for my company car and it looks like I can get either a saloon with professional media or for the same monthly payment an F11 Touring but no nav at all.
Excluding the nav element, what else would I be missing by not having the pro media? I think I will probably go down the F11 route but just want to check what I could be missing out on first. Thanks. PS - the monthly limit is a hard limit so no other compromise is possible. |

I think it comes down to what you think is more important. I would simply die if I did not have an awesome music system in my car with all the bells and whistles so it was an easy choice for me to select the Premium Hifi option. I also knew I would probably regret not getting the cool gadgety options so I chose the almost fully-optioned-out i4 520d instead of the much more powerful but bare-bones i6 530i.
From the sound of it it seems like you realize that you don't really need the extra space since you already have a roof box and another large car. I'd say go for the Hifi. No nav system at all just sounds wrong! From what I have heard, the Pro Media option is worth it, simply because the other lesser-priced options just aren't very good.

I am still hopping mad about aspects of my pro media that don't work well. Don't want to rant so if you would like me to fill in please send an email and I will expand.. in a single sentence and if I was in a tight spot on spec especially between shapes I would say...
Business speaker system and the options required to get an iPhone etc working as unbelievably pro media does not include these, and then the car that you know you really want with a £100 tomtom from halfords. Enjoy |

I am sorry, but a 5 series without NAV would be a non-starter for me. Not that I am thinking of selling my F10 anytime soon, but resale could be an issue too without NAV

Well after much dithering, I have finnaly placed an order with the lease company.
A 520d SE Auto Touring. Imperial Blue/Venetian Beige. My company doesn't allow options other than Nav so it will be 'bare bones' but I'm happy with that. LEase company are currently advising a mid-June delivery. Here's hoping it's sooner as a I have a holiday to France in the first week of June and I'd like to take the BMW. |

Congratulations! You'll love it. Took delivery of our F11 in May last year and took a 2000 mile road trip to France in July. The F11 is a brilliant cruiser and looks stunning too.
