Front license plate bracket screws

Can anyone tell me what screws are used for attaching the front license plate bracket?

I initially tried using 3m vhb tape...but doesn't seem too secure.

It uses standard BMW trim screws, that self tap into the bumper plastic that come in 10mm bolt head, Philips pan head, or T20 Torx pan head. All will work as long as it's course thread, and a screw tip....

If you don't want to put holes into your bumper, then there are license plate holders that make use of your tow bracket socket on the rights side of your bumper.

Call one of your local BMW dealership's PARTS DEPT (not the SERVICE DEPT)...have the last 7 digits of your VIN ready...they can look up the part nbr based on your VIN...and also give you a price quote...they may even have them in stock.

If you are required to have a front license plate attached to your vehicle in WI, a BMW dealership should just give you the screws.....happy to send you two if it becomes too much of an ordeal....

Do you think the f10/f11 5 series uses the same screws that its generational 5/6/7 series cousin's use? You can pull up any of those models in one of the online part database sites and see which screw they use for attaching the front license plate holder...then shop using the 11 digit BMW part nbr for those (and possibly multiple other BMW models) self tapping screws.

If you think this is the same part...pull up the 11 digit part nbr in the part databasel...the shop using that 11 digit number. You can simply type "BMW xx xx x xxx xxx" (where x = the actual part nbrs) into a google/internet search box.

All the models below use the same screw part nbr...so it's probably the same for the f10/f11:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...46#07146986938

{f06 = #16}

{f07 = #23}

{f01 = #24}

{Z4 = #13}
