Dead bugs on your F10
Do you guys feel like your F10 is responsible for more vehicular bugslaughter than most other cars? I've been getting my car washed once a week and a couple of days later I see its front bumper littered with bugs that were at the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm attributing this partly to the very flat design of the F10 front bumper and perhaps it's bug season with winter around the corner?
Figured this was an appropriate subject for halloween. |

It'll be more to do with the speed your driving than anything else. When you drive slower, the lighter bugs kinda "bounce" a bit more. Drive faster, SPLAT...

Speed for sure, I get this when I use the highway at weekends big difference in comparison to my every day use in the city and country lanes with no more than 70 mph.

I just went from a 335 to a F10. I do a lot of freeway driving at high speeds of 80+ mph. Just in two weeks i have noticed a lot more bug carnage that my 335 which will also mean more rock chips too.
I have decided to put on a clear protective bra on the front bumper to prevent bug and sand blasting look from small rocks. Cheers

Cruising behind (safely) a large vehicle (4x4, van or lorry) usually leaves clean air for your car to pass through, but if pressing on for progress then you'll pick up tons of flies. As mentioned before, speed also makes a difference.

bugs don't hang out on city road, highway for sure, because of surroundings like farms, open grass land. Speed makes difference, but M Sport has more surface area than regular fasica.

I've noticed the same thing with speed. BMWs are great bug collectors. My Z4 is much better though. What do you think...
