Holdup at the Port Huneme VPC?

ilsb, They got a truck today, but no 5's were on it. Guy said they are expecting another one tomorrow that should have some 5's, but did not offer specifics. My CA is out today.

SD535, called sales mgr today but it was a little after 5pm and he could not call his contact at VDC. Told me he would call Friday. They don't seem to know what is going on. Will post if I hear anything tomorrow.

I got mine today and I am glad to report it's perfect! The car does not pull to right :-). I love everything about it! I am sure you east coasters will get yours soon.

Scott... I'm living vicariously through you right now, brother. Glad to hear your good news... I'd say post a few pics!, but I doubt you are anywher near this forum anymore and probably sitting in the car in the driveway

or running another "errand" to the store because you keep conveniently forgetting what you had driven there for the first 4 times.

Wow we must be brothers thats very close to what I did! Driveway for an 2 hours, then drove to MMA, wife asked me to run to Target at 930. I was like no problem

Chief... quick question... what's the '775' option you've got in your sig?

Also, (and general question for the board) the ZSP package/Sport Auto option adds the normal/sport/sport+ control, right? Or is that only with ZDH?

Sport auto adds paddles and the transmission normal/sport/sport+, but this does not change suspension, etc.

Got the call!!! On truck that left VPC this morning. Says I can't pick it up til Monday though because of title? Many of people on this site seem to pick up next day...?? Maybe because it's Saturday?
Just glad I'm almost there.

Ilsb, he says they are getting trucks "like crazy" now, so I'm sure you'll get similar news soon if not today. (I know... "soon" does nothing for you..)

Final thing... Dealer is trying to get $799 out of me for Tephlon treatment... From what I have found thru search most think it is a waste of $... Any thoughts?

What is Tephion treatment? You mean the $20 wax job that dealer charges $799 for? Not worth it. Especially if this is a lease car. Have it detailed by someone else using same stuff for lots less money. Just another high profit item for dealer. If dealer can get the teflon wax, you can get it. Even if you paid someone $100 to wax your vehicle you are far ahead of the game....just my humble opinion. BTW, you can get Dupont Teflon Wax at Lowes for about $8.00 that does a great job. Lasts a loooong time. and it is cheap. Just a few hours of your time to apply.

Interesting note: CA said that the final word was NOTHING was done to my car in NJ in the last 19 days... no retrofit.
I saw another post from a guy who already has his car and got an actual fuel system recall notice, but maybe it's an earlier production month issue?
Also told "pulling to right" is absolutely not going to be an issue... no further details... whatever that means...

That's what I thought too but the car say it changes it! It handles different in sport mode. Sports + turns off traction control.

picked mine up yesterday (in the middle of the concert). Awesome car. Runs perfectly, no pull to right. Everything works. Only problem is that I should have ordered a different color since it looks similar to my 08...my non BMW knowledgable friends won't know it is a new vehicle.
