Just had word from the dealer that my car was built end of this week and so will be with me in 3 weeks time. Altogether it's come forward by 2 weeks or so from the original estimated delivery date. that will have been 10 weeks from order.

My car has also been built this week (w/c 7th March) and has departed the plant...also 2-3 weeks earlier than anticipated!....Hopefully be ready for collection w/c 28th March!

everyone seems to be getting their cars sooner ... wonder what on earth thosew gits at lex are doing as mine hasnt moved a day in reagrds to delivery from the date i was quoted back on Jan 21st!

Generally things seem to be getting built earlier than people were being told.....methinks the dealers know this and then tell you nearer the time so you think they are great and wonderful for getting you in your car early!!!...so you score them 10/10 on the feedback form etc?

With me nothing to do with the dealer - BmW changed the production slot. I think some of this is due to the changes in production which happened in week 9 - I think they likely put fewer cars through that week initially - in order to manage the production line changes - and then realised they were ahead and could do some more.

Titan.....we can have a race....first person to post pics of their car is the winner...and I mean on the drive/house (not on the back of the trailer at the dealer!).

Also regarding 6NR and the media adpator needed for Iphone 4..my dealer says these are not available to even order until June?

That's annoying. I haven't asked my dealer for one - forgot. I'll send them an email. If that's the case I'll order one from one of the German beemer
parts websites as they have them.

Please let me know what they say as I want to try and get one before June...so would also consider getting one from Germany if you find a supplier.

Status of mine changed at lex.... delivery date went forward a day.

I think i imght give them a call - have a feeling they think my current car is due to be given up on thr 24th April - when in fact its 24th March!

God damn ... gutted... called to confirm that my current car was due March 24th... and nope... it is indeed April 24th!!

So chances are the 520d will be sat at the dealer twiddling its thumbs for a few weeks!

They currently saying April 25th... but thats a bank holiday monday, and im off to france the next day - so wont get the car til May 4th!!

Dealer confirmed - can;t get the xx392 cradle which works with 6NF/6NR until July. After paying for around £400 for these options it's apalling. The new brochure goes on and on about iPhone integratio and the new options, yet I will go several months without being able to use these features properly.

Wife wants to buy the prius im using at the mo anyway - so maybe there will be some movement!

Spoke to lex ... they said once the final payment on my current car is made by the company there is no reason why i shouldnt be able to get my 520

she did say its been built and its on its way to the uk as we speak

So maybe April 12th i might need some time off!

Happy bunny time... think i wont tell wife this yet - and just surprise her with it!

Good for you! Should be available within 2 weeks or so - so yeah just depends when the final payment is settled. Hope you are friends with the finance manager in your company!
