Ignition controlled B+ wire location help
I have a 2012 535i 6 speed and am hoping to get some help identifying where I can tap into a 12V Battery source (underhood) that is controlled thru the ignition? I don't have ISTA and have been unsuccessful with locating something I can tap into.
If anyone has ISTA or knows something I would really appreciate some help. Thanks all. Last edited by LBSpeed535; 11-01-2017 at 08:47 AM.. |

Under the hood?
Post #13 from here works well: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47317 In the cabin? I tapped the connector in the rear view mirror housing for my radar detector. |

So the funny thing is that I have seen that post before, but my car actually does not have the red "alternate power supply" wire that they tap power for the JB4 from. Not sure if that red wire exists for a specific option in the car, but I don't have it.
That's actually why I'm having so much trouble finding one under the hood. And Yes, I am looking for a keyed 12V source under the hood if possible. Here's my pictures of the JB4 installed. https://photos.app.goo.gl/beU17N3g1FQLuaml2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/9R6KQRarAZwNOhTm1 |
