19s vs 20s, 275 vs 295 - Opinions please...

Hi, I know this general topic has been covered many times before; sorry.

Would really appreciate some opinions here. I have a 550xi M Sport & Dinan springs incoming, in SE MI (ie plenty of crappy roads), etc. So, I'm going to leave the GYs on the stock M 351 wheels for winter, or roughly 5 mos of the year - and put on a dedicated summer set.

I've been eyeing the Forgestar CF10 wheels combined with a set of Michelin PSS.

The big question I'm debating is: 19" w 245/275 staggered or 20" w 255/295 staggered.

So, some questions:
* 295 too wide? Will it adversely affect handling in any way?
* 275 likewise too narrow?
* Will the 295/30/20 has too short a sidewall (compared to the 19s), especially on rough roads?

Appreciate any views, particularly those who live in areas where the roads are far from "glass"... Thanks!

Who did you order the Dinan springs through? I have a 535xi and am looking for Dinan springs that support the x drive.

They work on the xDrives regardless. Several members have them with zero issues, and Dinan has officially said they will work in emails.
