My new Cashmere silver 535ix

Just picked up my 535ix yesterday and decided to post a few pics since not too many this colour out there. Sorry, they are not the best pictures, I know, the inside colour looks much better than in the pictures, more brown. 2011 535i x-drive, cashmere silver/cinnamon brown with ash wood trim, sport package, tech package and executive package. I ordered the car before the x-drive configurator was on-line, and this colour combo cannot be ordered now, but somehow I managed to get it. I think it worked out well, and may be the one and only in Canada! The cashmere silver is very nice, sometimes it looks silver, sometimes it looks like the platinum bronze I had on my 335i cab. For all those wondering (I have seen it asked a few times here), the 535ix in Canada with sport package comes with 245-40-19 on all 4 wheels, and the tires are Good Year Eagle LS2 tires.

I originally ordered imperial blue, but decided that the dark colours hide all the creases and other design elements on the car, and the grey colours were looking like they were going to be the more common colours out there. Then one day, I was following a 750i in cashmere silver and the colour just looked really good on that car in the sun, so I changed my order.

No pulling issues. In fact, no issues, the car is fantastic. My only comment is that I think 8 speeds is too many, the car is always shifting, but I'm sure I will get used to it. Then again, I'm coming from a manual car and I am used to controlling when the car shifts. I did order this car with the manual transmission, and it was originally available, but then BMW changed their mind, at least for Canada, no manual for x-drive.

Finally I see the combo I ordered . I thought I was going to be the only one in the world with that set of colours. Of course looks great (can't be different).

tetiker - No idea about the steering. I can say the car is more numb than my 335i cab, but I didn't expect it to be the same, it is a much bigger and higher car.

bike99 - You will love the colour combo. I was worried up until I first saw the car yesterday that the brown would not go with the cashmere, but it really does.

All x drive car has hydraulic steering. Regular ones have electric steering

Op, I see you work around the Hwy 7 / Centre St area, maybe I will run into you. I have yet to see your color on the street thus far.
