Cel 2013 535

Hi guys, the CEL light came on this morning again for the 190302 code for

“Tank Ventilation and purge air system, fine leak: leakage greater than 0.5mm”

Upon first google it was for the gas cap being loose so I opened the gas cap and it looks in perfect condition. The car has 96k miles and this is the second time seeing the code.
It happened last week and after filling the car up and NOT topping it off as always, it stayed away until the car was below a half a tank and parked overnight. I did see the service bulletin about it and was wondering if anyone had it done at a dealership or Indy and the cost associated with it, or any quick fixes I might be able to do.

Looks perfect does not mean it works perfect. Gas cap is cheap and may mean you don't need to pay for a visit.

Remove rear passenger wheel. Remove the well cover and below gas intake pipe you will see the Leak Detection Sensor. It is highly recommended to replace it with filter. Get both at fcpeuro. The sensor part #16137448091.
The car came with 2 different kind of sensors. The best is to look which one you have first before ordering it.

There is an extended warranty on this. Check and see if you qualify

Well, after bringing the car into my local BMW dealer, everything was covered under warranty! They seemed to know about the issue and only had the car for the day, was even able to get a loaner!
