Just picked up a 2016 535i with 60k miles and $23k in options. Some if the options are the Drivers Assist, Drivers Assist Plus, Lighting Package, Luxury Seating Package, M Sport Package, Premium Package, Harmon Kardon, and 20" 464M GR wheels. Love the car so far. The inly I have planned is to paint the calipers and to upgrade the MMI to Car Play. If there is anything that I should do lemme know! This makes a great addition to my 1976 BMW 2002 and my 1964 Volvo Amazon Wagon. Neither stock.

Thanks! Im already planning on a spring install and an exhaust upgrade for a little more attitude. Loving the car though. Its an amazing cruiser. Makes me appreciate the raw and direct feel of my 1976 2002.

Our cars are similar but mine is 2013.

Looks like you already have a black grill (some come with chrome) and good wheels.
I like small spacers on the wheels, nothing to aggressive I think I have 12mm and 15mm, but you have 20's so maybe not needed.

I have the m performance decal on my car and like it, altho its now on its last legs for me now.

I've not done much to my car other than replace things that age, plastic around the front windshield thats under the window wipers cracks,
the plastic in the door handles gets kinda nasty and its not really cleanable, so you have to just replace it.

The cars great tho. and yours has great options.

Beautiful car & I love the style of those pics!

Looks like you got the shadowline trim option (which I think looks great on the Alpine White). Then again, I'm a bit biased as I own a 2015 version of the same color scheme.

Not sure what the maintenance history is but here are a couple suggestions.

@50k miles the N55 is due for new spark plugs. ( I went ahead and did my coils at the same time since all the "work" is getting to #5 & #6)

I'd recommend tranny service per ZF recommendations (pan/filter replacement + oil dump & fill / secondary fill @ temp while cycling thru the gears). @60k miles, some may say it's a bit early but I'm a firm believer in PM, especially when it comes to fluids. Replacing mechtronic sleeve at this time is a wise PM move. If you're really anal retentive about running clean fluids, do a second "dump & fill" (no pan/filter replacement) awhile later as the initial ZF recommended service only changes out a bit over half of the oil.

Change differential oil too @ ~60k miles (while you're down there)

I dumped and changed all the fluids in mine (purchased @ 53k miles) and I'd recommend that to anybody buying a "new to me" car. It gives a known clean slate starting point.

Don't be like me and spend WAY too much time looking for the power steering fluid reservoir.....it's electric...Imagine my embarrassment. ha ha

Keep a keen eye on your Oil Filter Housing Gasket and replace that immediately WHEN it leaks (sounds like they all do starting @ 50k+ miles)

Asthetically, consider replacing those orange front reflectors with Alpine White ones. One of my happiest "car days" was doing that - it really looks sharp on an already beautiful F10 MSport front end.

Changeout sidemarkers too, but that's my own personal preference. I went with gloss black, but may refinish my originals in Alpine White. Those Chrome side markers are one of the very few body style features on the F10 that look like an afterthought.

That's my 2 Cents!!!

Enjoy your new ride! You made a beautiful choice!

Exhaust sound preference is entirely subjective & to each their own, imo.
With that said, consider the M Performance Exhaust. It's spendy when compared to other good set ups, but I've yet to ever read a post from someone who has it that doesn't absolutely love it. Myself included as I got lucky w/ having that option on mine. It's deep & throaty, for the most part pretty subtle, but does open up a bit more in sport mode when you get on it.

Out of curiosity, what color do you plan on painting your calipers?
Those front ones are huge! lol

Very nice!!! got my 2016 535i M Sport a few days ago in jet black with 19" wheels, my LH Headlight has condensation, previous owner informed me of the issue and it can be a little pricy to fix if it not addressed so be vigilant for any moisture! Looks great and it really doesn't need anything else! Upper and lower charge pipes are plastic so be sure to look into upgrading to metal charge pipes down the road! How is your experience owning the car so far now that it is July 2023?
