BMW 523i (N52) Oil mixing with coolant

Oil is mixing with coolant? Anyone have any idea why oil is mixing with coolant into my coolant tank?

Workshop has suggested an engine overhaul. Have already diagnosed, Oil Filter Housing, Heat Exchanger, Thermostat. Still after flushing multiple times. The oil mixes with coolant and clogs up the radiator.

That's REALLY bad! Maybe a bad head gasket? Did it severely overheat at some point.
