Camber adjustment on a lowered car?

I had an alignment done today at the dealer. They report they cannot achieve optimum camber due to the car being lowered after the KW V3 coilovers were installed.

Anybody know what is necessary to correct this?

Thanks much.

find a shop that does "specialty" alignments or has experience doing them on cars with coilovers.

-2º camber? That's quite a bit of rear camber. It's a wonder we don't wear out the inner part of our rear tires prematurely!

no abnormal wear with these specs .. I check it weekly since my son wore out 2 tires in 3 weeks since never got around to aligning it.

yes he pays for his own mistakes (tires) this time

same here! my tires are wearing evenly since i got the alignment done i think in 2016? The tech asked me if i wanted to run some camber or am i looking for even tire wear and i said even tire wear as i don't want to be buying new tires every year. and that's with swapping my AG's with my OEM 356's. even with me lifting the car back to stock height during this winter i've been watching the tire wear and pleased to see it's wearing evenly

My rears also wear evenly. I'm just surprised that with that much camber the inner tire doesn't wear more.

The Indy Tech who works on a lot of modified BMW's said the suspension on the F10 platform was well designed and engineered that he believes because BMW is all about performance he wasn't surprised how easily alignments specs were no matter how low we wanted to set our car even without modified LCA's and UCA's

I've lowered a few cars of mine in the past without ever having to take it in for a realignment. I've managed to play with the camber adjustments on my own.

I look to doing the same when I can get my hands on some H&Rs.
Guess I've been lucky all this time. Wear on my tires have been pretty even.

Don't recommend doing this though, unless you're aware of how your suspension geometry works.

I finally found a high end shop that does alingments. They raised the car up until the camber came into spec. The car is still lowered compared with stock. The car drives very straight now.

Am still adjusting the coilovers, but the ride is closing in on exactly what I want. All the F10 'float' is gone, steering and brake response is noticeably tightened. Road bumps are now very soft yet the car still corners flat with no body roll at all.

A 2000 mile road trip is on for next week, which should be a lot of fun.

IMHO, the KW V3 upgrade is well worth the money.

Good luck.

Awesome to hear! my ride sits pretty damn low too on my KW's. you also have the option if you haven't already to upgrade the sway bars

I tried the sway bar upgrades first and was dissatisfied with the amount of road shock passed into the cabin. The current setup handles better than the Eibach sway bars yet is very comfortable on bad pavement, which the Eibachs were not.

I do have a lightly used set of Eibach sway bars for sale cheap if anyone is interested.
