So this explains why I can't get any audio when using my iPhone 5S in my 2011 535xi. I would need to get the media version adapter and not the connect version. Is there any update or work-around for this issue?

Other than reception, what is the benefit of the snap it adaptor? I have the 14 F10 with Nav Professional, which I can stream audio with cover art already.

Reception is one, charging is the other. Plus, some integration with ConnectedDrive...

I ended up switching to the USB-lightning cable on an iPhone 5S.

Okay, I have heard it heats up your phone alot when snapped in. Besides the cost seems a bit high.

Cost was definitely high. Cradle was $250 or so, USB-lightning cable for iPhone was $50.

There is a small fan that runs to provide cooling airflow when the phone is docked.

$50? I use one that I got for about $5-10. Works great!
