Scratched wiper arm

Hi guys,

It?s probably me being silly but I noticed my wiper arm has a slight scratch to it. I know it?s very minor but as you can see the silver behind the black it?s annoying me and I?m also aware over time it can rust.

What?s the best way of hiding/protecting it? I?m aware a second hand arm will cost about £25 but that?s a lot in my view for the little marks.

Any help appreciated.

I did wonder if treacle would work....

Is there a specific paint? Will touch up paint work or would I need rust proof metal paint?

To a degree I was expecting it ha. I appreciate my question was possibly very stupid, but I just wanted absolute clarity before I did anything to repair the arm lol
