Recall - conditioner replaced, getting better MPG.
Original post here: <http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1382471>
I got my car back after one Month(don't ask!), and the condenser was replaced under a recall. I have now noticed that I get about 20-25% extra MPG and this was on a 400 mile run over the weekend. Has anyone else who has had the condenser replaced experienced this? The car is now returning 55+mpg, before the condenser was replaced I was getting 43mpg for the same journey. And in Eco pro mode, the "extra" miles figure has gone through the roof. Before I struggled to get 12, now I get 62!! Cheers.

Are you sure you are actually getting it and they just haven't reset your fuel computer calibration? If you had something wrong with the aircon it's possible the system was running the compressor constantly in a fruitless attempt to get the temp down but even that wouldn't result in 25 percent difference.

I've just had the condenser and the EGR Radiator replaced as part of a quality enhancement. They wouldn't say why the EGR Rad was changed.
