BMW Approved Service - Sheffield, Nottingham, Reading or High Wycombe
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a BMW Approved Service centre in or around ; Sheffield Nottingham Reading or High Wycombe I am at 71k miles now and have the ... Engine oil service with microfilter (£263) or Engine oil service with microfilter, air filter and fuel filter (£433) ... due in around 3k miles. I intend to keep my 520d to around the 140 - 150k miles mark and given the high BMW main dealer service costs, I think it might be time to get a quote from a good BMW Approved Service centre. Any recommendation is very welcome. Cheers ... |

Apologies if I did not make my request clear : I was after independent, but BMW approved, service centres. I was wanting to cut down the truly insane cost of £433 to replace the oil and change the microfilter, air filter and fuel filter. I think about £200 to £250 is a fair cost for this. I believe that there are independent garages that have the BMW approved status, that can deliver well under what BMW are quoting via the site : https://www.bmw-service.co.uk Maybe I am wrong ... anyone can guide me ... I would be grateful. Cheers ... |

Apologies, misunderstoof.
I had a e39 previoously and found that the servicing of that (at coopers) were reasonable costwise. I thought they did a fixed price on older cars , don't recall the name they gave it though. I'm also making the assumption your car is over 3 years old and you don't have the maintenance pack thing. I don't know any independants for the record, sorry. |

BMW labour rates are eye watering. I don't know how they can possibly get away with it!
Anyone know of such a BMW Independent place in Nottingham/Derby/Lincoln/Leicester area please?

Try a Bosch auto centre, although I once got a quote from a BMW specialist here in Wolverhampton run by a couple of ex-BMW employees. The cost difference was only £30, I thought the BMW stamp was worth the extra outlay...

Try Tcs autos in high wycombe. Run by ex bmw employees I believe. It's a bit backstreet and doesn't have the 'bling' of the main dealer but I've heard they are good at what they do, thought I haven't personally used them
